About the Area
Double Eagle Resort & Spa is located in June Lake, California - considered by many to be the crown jewel of the Eastern Sierra and just a few miles from the Eastern entrance to the Yosemite National Park.
Local sites onto to miss include Mono Lake, Bodie historic ghost town, Devils Postpile National Monument and Hot Creek. Four majestic lakes within eight miles of the resort connected with rushing streams and dense forests - provide some of the best fly fishing in the West. The spectacular mountain and wilderness terrain entices both Winter and Summer visitors.
Hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, boating, fishing, rock climbing and nature walks and hikes. downhill skiing and snowboarding at June Mountain, just 1.5 miles form the resort or at Mammoth Mountain, one of the West's premier ski resorts 20 minutes away. Winter guests also enjoy ice skating, guided snow-shoe hikes, snowmobile and dog sledding adventures.
